Bureau Brut
Bureau Brut is a graphic design studio specializing in visual identity, editorial design and typography.
Their approach is characterized by insatiable curiosity, sincere attention to each project and an understanding of strategic objectives. Their work emphasizes the commission and its context. Bureau Brut seeks to go beyond the traditional roles of the type designer by exploring new opportunities. They put their energy and know-how to work on a new collection of books dedicated to the culture of graphic design and typography. Their commitment is reflected in rigorous ethical criteria, such as French manufacturing, responsible solutions and the mechanical durability of their productions. Julia Joffre and Yoann Minet, who met while studying, founded Bureau Brut in 2015 in Montreuil with Camille Prandi. Over the years, they developed their type foundry project and gradually moved to Toulouse, where they set up shop in 2021.
