Simon Renaud
Simon Renaud is a type designer and graphic designer based in Paris. He is known for his diverse range of work across various media of design expression, including publishing, typography, and digital media.
Renaud frequently collaborates with photographer Véronique Pêcheux on projects. He has a strong interest in the evolution of writing systems, legibility, perception, automation, and new technologies. A collector of the world's writing systems, Renaud teaches art direction in graphic design at Ésad Amiens design school.
Renaud’s educational commitments also involve the co-organization of typography-focused symposiums. As a type designer, Renaud’s projects often revolve around concepts derived from the history of writing, mathematics, physics, and new technologies. He explores the impact of various tools and processes on cognitive perception, integrating them into his work, whether it's related to typography, visual arts, or image creation.
