The perfectly well-fitted use of Signal PK in food trade businesses

Lagoon Dining — Design by Never Now

Lagoon Dining is a restaurant and bar serving food that leans heavily on Chinese culinary traditions. Located in Melbournes Italian district Carlton, Never Now was commissioned to work on the concept, naming, visual identity, signage and interior of the restaurant with Olaver Architecture.

Le Hein – Flanders Food Space — Design by Nash&Young

The French hein can mean a couple of things: something like “hey!”, but also “isn’t it?” and “sorry, what did you say?”. It’s not so much a word as a spontaneous utterance that you’ll understand instinctively when it pops up. Add the definitive article le and it becomes precisely a bar-restaurant in Lille, France.

Milenta — Design by Studio South

The Milenta logo is set in a distinctive typeface, Signal Compressed. The font is derived from signs painted on roads, with letterforms that are intentionally compressed so that they’re easier to read from a certain perspective. The stretched letterforms felt reminiscent of the imperfections of hand-painted restaurant signage.

Ragazzi — Design by Something Creative Co

Ragazzi is a new Italian restaurant in Sydney, Australia. Local design studio Something Creative Co was commissioned to create the brand: “Inspired by Marinetti and his sound poems, the commonly used Italian phrase ‘Ciao, Ragazzi’ comes to life as if it were shouted at a busy table. […] We wanted everything to be playful and entertaining, using constant movement across the identity.”
